The interior Least Terns nested on a newly installed fishing pier on Teal Pond at RMBS this year. I haven’t had a chance to go see this year’s young, but I did get some photos of courtship and incubation back in late May.

Nice, Bill! I got some pics last week– at least a few of the chicks have made it this far. I’ve started to put them up on Flickr. I’ve go to say, these are some of the toughest photo subjects I’ve encountered… I guess I need more practice!
I completely agree, Dave. I can’t say I enjoyed myself very much attempting to get them in flight. I think light needs to be perfect with as little heat distortion as possible. Even then it’s a spray and pray situation!
